Senses connect to the outer world; it is our sole connection with the world. If we didn’t have Senses, we would not be able to smell, see, hear, taste, touch or perceive anything of what is happening in the outside world.
Our body is the most wonderful mechanism God, the Universal Energy could give us. These senses help us understand what is good for us and what is not. It gives us clear indications of safety and danger.
SENSES WE ARE AWARE AND KNOW OF
SIGHT
The ability of the brain and eye detecting light within the visible range interpreting the image is “Sight.”
HEARING
Hearing is the sense of sound perception and results from the inner ear detecting the motion of a membrane, which vibrates in response to changes in the pressure.
TASTE
Taste is one of the two main “chemical” senses. The four well-known receptors detect sweet, salt, sour, and bitter.
SMELL
Smell is the other “chemical” sense. Unlike taste, there are hundreds of olfactory receptors, each binding to a particular molecular feature.
TOUCH
Is the sense of pressure perception, generally in the skin.
SENSES WE ARE AWARE OF BUT DON’T KNOW THEM
THERMOCEPTION
It is the sense of heat and cold felt by the skin.
NOCICEPTION (PHYSIOLOGICAL PAIN)
Physiological pain is the unconscious perception of nerve or tissue damage.
EQUILIBRIOCEPTION (THE VESTIBULAR SENSE)
It is the perception of balance and is related to cavities containing fluid in the inner ear.
PROPRIOCEPTION (THE KINESTHETIC SENSE)
Is the perception of body awareness and is a sense that people are frequently not aware of, but rely on enormously.
SENSES WE ARE NOT SO AWARE OF AND DO NOT KNOW OF:
Clair senses connect us to ourselves and help us create wonderful, beautiful things around us. Wherever we have grown up in the World, we have all heard of sages, enlightened souls, who could tell us about our Future, our Present without even knowing us, people who could create an ambience with wonderful aromas around. They worked hard to remove their Ahamkara (Ego) and connected with the Divine (the cosmic energy which is ever-prevailing and has all the knowledge around us). They did sadhana (spiritual exercises) to bring in the purity of heart, to cleanse their systems from lower energies so that they can connect with the higher, subtler energies. They fine-tuned their clairsenses and their prana (Lifeforce) to be able to redirect it in a more productive manner. They were also human beings like us; the only difference is that they were more connected to nature, to their divine self.
Is it possible for us to connect with the “Higher Beings, Angels, Masters?”
It is completely and totally possible.
Some types of psychic abilities have names that begin with “clair,” which means “clear” in French. They are named to specify the way you are sensing or receiving information spiritually. Clair senses help us connect with higher beings, we start using our clairsenses once we clearing out our denser energies, and start operating from a higher frequency. Negative emotions, thoughts, feelings pull us down and keep us away from faith, and keep us involved in the drama of our daily, worldly lives. Clair senses also help us dabble into the other realm mostly perceived as imaginations. The more we work on our Clair senses more we are able to bring in the magic into our lives. And it gets better for us to decipher between our Ego’s voice and our intuition. That leads us to our connection with higher beings and The Divine.
There is a correlation between which physical-level five senses you usually use the most, and which of the related “clair” types of psychic abilities you usually use the most. This doesn’t mean you can’t choose to develop the other “clairs.” It’s just that it might be easier and inspire you the most to first strengthen the “clairs” you already use most naturally.
The “clairs” are:
- clairvoyance (clear seeing, or psychic vision)
- clairaudience (clear hearing, or psychic hearing)
- clairsentience (clear feeling/sensing or psychic feeling/sensing, including clairempathy)
- claircognizance (clear knowing or psychic knowing)
- clairtangency (clear touching or more commonly, psychometry)
- clairgustance (clear tasting or psychic tasting)
- clairalience (clear smelling or psychic smelling, sometimes also called clairscent)
Read on for a detailed understanding of these clairsenses.
