Any relationship is bounded by the limits we put to it.

Relationships are explored through our idea of it,

Our expectations, and belief regarding another.Though we all know that expectations are detrimental to our relationships, yet it just happens to us all the time. We tend to have expectation from another to behave in a particular way or express in a manner which suits us,  We want the other to speak our language of expression. It then becomes an unsaid power game between two people getting things done their own way.

Until the time we focus on what the other is doing, we get neither the love nor the attention we are looking for. It is given that we all need attention, affection, acceptance, love and when that is not felt by us, we become desperate for the attention of the other and that desperation can make us do things.

So what makes us ask for attention from the other?

There could be many reasons behind it. There could be a fear of abandonment or a fear of not being understood. It could be just plain not feeling good enough. How a person goes through their processes of life and how they perceive it is unique.

Our relationships with the other can only be explored to an extent as they get limited with our expectation, conditioning, beliefs and boundaries. But it is one’s relationship with oneself that can go beyond all that is. The more we explore our true nature, the freer we become and a day comes when we reach the real freedom, freedom of thought, expression, love.

That is the day when we actually get to be free-spirited. That’s the day when we feel love for the first time, romance and beauty in everything that we do, see or experience. That is the day when we finally take birth, before that we are just trying to be alive.
